Most of my inspiration for designing our house has been found on other blogs and from Pinterest. To help keep organized, I add a new board for each room that we want to do. It’s helped keep our plans organized instead of going back and forth between different ideas.
Below is our current list of plans we have for around the house. It will be interesting to see how these changes look in our home.
Living Room/Entry
- Paint walls
- Clean, sand and paint trim. We love how white trim makes the room look and feel. Planning on doing this to the entire house.
- Paint doors black and add glass door handles. Planning on doing this to the entire house.
- Add shelves and pictures (love these picture collages).
- Hang drapes
- Build a TV console similar to this.
- Tighten stair railing
- Paint stair railing (possibly paint the railing two toned)
- Rip out carpet and put in wood flooring
- Replace hanging light
- Clean windows
Dining Room and Kitchen
- Purchase a sideboard
- Paint walls
- Paint/stain dining table similar to this two toned table
- Paint and re-fabric dining chairs
- Hang drapes
- Change out lighting
- Add shelves and pictures
Office
- Paint/stain both desks. Love this desk look for mine.
- Paint walls
- Change light fixture
- Hang drapes
- Hang pictures
Guest Bath
- Paint walls (we are thinking of a dark blue like this)
- Change mirror
- New light fixture
- Paint counter and add new hardware
- Add shelving
Guest Bedroom
- Paints walls
- Hang drapes
- Fix dresser
- Change lighting
Master Bathroom
- Paint walls
- Create a headboard similar to this wood headboard or fabric headboard
- Add pictures and shelves
- Change lighting
Master Bath
- Paint walls
- Hang a cabinet for extra storage

- New Lighting
- Hang shower curtain
- Renovate sink and cabinet
